As an accountant and a nursing home owner, Ms. Hiller understands the financial aspect of the business, as well as how to run a facility. Ms. Hiller brings real-world experience and highly regarded expertise to the table, including:
- Ownership experience, as the current owner of Lake Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Quality Life Services home health care agency, and past owner of Miami Shores of Moraine
- Decades of practical knowledge, spanning an exclusive career in long term care since 1986
- Well rounded expertise including MDS accounting, reimbursement, finance and overall management
- Varied experience including work with national, multi-facility organizations; regional accounting and consulting firms; and small, regional multi-facility organizations

Ms. Hiller is well-regarded as expert in MDS and case mix in Ohio and nationally and serves on the AANAC Expert Advisory Panel, which interacts with CMS on MDS and RUG IV issues. She also provides MDS reimbursement and case mix education through OHCA, AANAC and various associations and independent or multi facility providers throughout Ohio and nationally. Ms. Hiller trains over 1,000 people a year, and understands their experiences and real-world needs.

Ms. Hiller has been involved with the design and development of several reimbursement systems in Ohio. She helped evaluate numerous public policy initiatives related to long term care, and has actively participated in the state budget process, including evaluating budget proposals, drafting and providing testimony and developing alternative proposals. She regularly reviews and comments on CMS-proposed rules and rules proposed in Ohio.
Ms. Hiller has also served on the board or other leadership committees of the Ohio Health Care Association, the American Health Care Association, and the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination.
